Josh Nichol is returning to Victoria for a four day clinic, April 7-10 !! As a widely sought out and respected leader across the globe, Josh’s training style combines a deep understanding of the needs of horses, movement dynamics, human behaviour and more. The journey to building a trusting partnership as well as a healthy relationship between horse and rider is intensely personal. Whether you are a dressage devotee, working cow horse enthusiast, or love to escape to the trails on horseback, having a confident horsemanship foundation can transform the way you interact with your horse, as well as your experience in the saddle. This clinic will be held at 7407 Wallace Drive in Central Saanich, from 9am to 5pm. Participant spots are currently full, however there is plenty of space for auditors. Cost is $30/day to audit. We are doing something pretty exciting on Saturday, April 11th from 10:00am-4:00pm, an Equine Market in Metchosin. Our friends at the farmers market have graciously given us use of their facilities to host our own market for equine services and products. Want to be a vendor? What vendors are we looking for… makers of equestrian products like: tack, clothing (any disciplinary), feed or supplements, facilities, equine photographers, coaches, equine groups or clubs looking for publicity/enrolment/volunteers, hay sales, arena equipment, equine themed goods (pottery with horse hair raku would be amazing 🤩), you get the gist now hopefully… We have plenty of room for our vendors and a perfect site to host a market. This market will not include any used tack selling; we will be having a used tack sale on May 2nd… stay tuned for updates and registration for this in the upcoming weeks. This two-part clinic will allow participants to learn the basic skills needed to explore liberty work with their horse. *Please note the two dates: April 11th and May 30th* First date will be learning foundational skills on-lead. Individual homework exercises will be given to allow for practice and development of skills in between clinics. Second date will be exploring beginning stages of liberty work. Develop feel, relationship, communication and try something fun!
