1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LocalHorse.events (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform independently
• Users between 13-17 years may use the Platform only with parental or guardian consent and supervision
• The Platform is currently available only to residents of Canada during the beta phase
• By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements

3. Description of Service

LocalHorse.events is a platform that allows users to:

• Browse equestrian events in Canada
• Post equestrian events (registered users only)
• Access contact information for events (registered users only)

The service is currently provided free of charge during the beta period.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Registration

• You must provide a valid email address to register
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
• One account per person is permitted

4.2 Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• We may terminate accounts inactive for more than 12 months

5. User Content and Conduct

5.1 Event Postings

By posting events, you represent and warrant that:

• All information provided is accurate and not misleading
• You have the right to post the event information
• The event is legitimate and lawful
• You will update or remove outdated event information promptly

5.2 Prohibited Content

You may not post content that:

• Is false, misleading, or deceptive
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains spam or commercial solicitation unrelated to equestrian events
• Is harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Promotes dangerous activities or animal cruelty
• Contains malware or malicious code

5.3 Content Moderation

• We reserve the right to review, approve, reject, or remove any content
• Content is subject to manual approval before public display
• Users are limited to posting 5 events per day to prevent spam

6. Privacy and Data Use

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to:

• Collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy
• Receiving service-related emails (account verification, event updates)
• Receiving marketing communications (with opt-out option)

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

7.1 Platform Provided “As Is”

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

7.2 No Responsibility for Events

• We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety, legality, or quality of events listed
• We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee any events or event organizers
• We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from attending events
• Users attend events at their own risk

7.3 Beta Limitations

During beta testing:

• The Platform may be unavailable or experience interruptions
• Features may be added, modified, or removed without notice
• Data may be lost or corrupted
• We make no guarantees about Platform stability or data persistence

7.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCALHORSE.EVENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LocalHorse.events from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your event postings or attendance
• Your violation of any rights of another party

9. Intellectual Property

• The Platform design, features, and content are owned by LocalHorse.events
• User-posted event information remains the property of the posting user
• By posting content, you grant us a license to display and distribute it on the Platform
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute Platform content without permission

10. Modifications to Service and Terms

• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Platform at any time
• We may update these Terms at any time by posting revised terms
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms
• We will notify users of material changes via email or Platform notice

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

12. General Provisions

12.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LocalHorse.events regarding the Platform.

12.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.

12.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
