Sara will be here October 24 and 25 offering cross country, stadium or dressage lessons at Johvale in Pritchard. Dressage is available in private or semi private lessons. Cross country will be scheduled in small groups. Email for more details

Working equitation clinic with Jane Stone, NCCP high performance coach and Masters level working equitation competitor. All levels welcome.

Learn from Canada's top-scoring Working Equitation rider. Friday features private 45-minute lessons, while Saturday and Sunday focus on Dressage and Ease of Handling exercises.

This “Mosaic” obstacle course will be comprised of elements from Mountain Trail Course, Working Equitation and Cowboy Challenge. It will be on a “Halloween trick for treats path” path that takes participants through the arena in groups of up to 4. Groups will be in-hand or ridden with a blend of capabilities for everyone to help cheer and support each other on course. You will have 30 minutes to practice the obstacles before starting the judged portion of the course. This is not a “serious show”. Costumes are strongly encouraged, judging is completely subjective and all efforts are applauded. This is not an actual competition, this is a fun-fundraising event. We are here for celebrating horse and human ethical training and relationships. All styles of tack are permitted (Western, English, Endurance, bit less, etc). Helmets and appropriate footwear are mandatory for riders. Prizes and event stickers will be available for all participants.

Josh’s innate ability to help his clients connect with their horses in new ways, as well as accomplish their objectives with ease has made his program a standout within the industry, attracting clients from as far away as Texas and Sweden. Always inspired by the animals and people he works with, Josh believes there are many things we can learn about ourselves by listening to our equine companions. “One of [their] gifts,” he believes “is the way horses will deal with your inner turmoil, show you what they feel from you, but not give up on you. If we look past the mentality of dominance and submission and believe that the horse’s thoughts and opinions matter, we can learn much about ourselves. In this way, the horse provides an amazing avenue to deepen the measure of our own heart and mind.”

Riders receive 30-minute time slots to warm up, ride their test with judge Laura Card Hall, receive critiques, and then either re-ride or work on specific movements. Tests include marks but are not officially scored. Option to choose a mini-lesson instead of a test ride is available.
