Equine Osteopathy - Presentation
About this event
Come out to Beaver Creek Hall in Port Alberni this Saturday at 11am ๐ด
Iโll be sharing insight into my work as an Equine Osteopath, and discussing how early experiences, stress patterns, and development shape the horseโs body long before challenges become visible.
During this talk - drawing from continuing education I recently attended in Germany - we will explore topics such as:
โข How stress patterns begin in the body long before tight muscles or joint problems appear
โข What happens inside the body during a stress response, and how it can influence digestion, nutrient use, and recovery
โข Why the nursing phase of a foal is critical for the development of the neck, breathing, and nervous system
โข How castration can influence the pelvis, abdominal wall, and overall movement, and why some geldings show long-term compensation patterns
โข Three early-life situations where horses may develop a freeze response - long before a rider ever gets involved
โข How nervous system regulation and relationship play a key role in helping horses release tension and regain balance - and why the owner is one of the most important parts of that process
My goal is to help horse owners better understand what their horseโs body might be communicating - often long before obvious symptoms appear.
Come join the conversation, learn how early experiences shape the horse we work with later and bring your questions.
Iโd love to see you there!
